Donic BlueStar A1 - Donic´s number one rubber for attackers
The new top rubber from the German company Donic is made for players with the highest demands and is called Donic BlueStar A1. The development was made by professionals for professionals. This rubber is equipped with a completely newly constructed sponge.
The technology, called OPTE (Optimized Energy Sponge) by the developers, has a small-pored sponge with a special texture, thereby creating new standards in terms of damping level and elasticity. Even though this model is in the upper range with a sponge hardness of 52.5°, it still behaves quite elastically.
Another strength are the excellent catapult properties combined with a high speed and a slightly sticky, extremely grippy upper rubber. These properties are indeed a weapon in the hands of technically skilled players who want to develop themselves further by means of an intensive training.
Within the Donic BlueStar series, the A1 is (as of 2023) the top rubber played by most of Donic's sponsoring players, making it a recommendation for any table tennis expert with a good overall technique.
