Compared to the Fastarc P-1, the Nittaku Fastarc G-1 is designed for a little more spin. This is because the 47.5° hard sponge and the grippy surface produce a fairly high ball bounce. This results in an arc-shaped trajectory, which enables you to play your topspins with an enormous amount of spin and high precision.
With these high rotation openings, you have a particularly effective first ball in your repertoire. You can utilise your opponent's unclean blocks to win points with dynamic top spins. Another strength of the Fastarc G-1 is its powerful yet quite safe counter-attacks, which will regularly end the rally in your favour. As the G-1 is not equipped with quite as strong a catapult effect as the P-1, you will have to use a little more force when shooting and blocking aggressively.
However, the G-1 also provides a more comfortable feel for the ball and more control in passive play at and above the table. Extremely rotation-rich serves and returns put the opponent in trouble right at the start of the rally. However, the high spin potential in combination with a relatively hard sponge also makes the rubber somewhat more susceptible to spin. Regular training is therefore important in order to be able to return opponents' serves optimally.
With the new Nittaku Fastarc G-1, the Japanese manufacturer has brought a great innovation onto the market that will give all spin-orientated offensive players a lot of pleasure.
