The somewhat slower and softer option of the new generation of rubbers from Joola is the Joola Rhyzer 43, which, like the Rhyzer 48, has a thin top rubber and a thicker sponge. This technology, which is also used by many other manufacturers, is intended to compensate for the negative playing characteristics of the plastic ball (less speed and rotation). Thanks to its softer sponge, the Rhyzer 43 produces a higher trajectory and is noticeably easier to control. It is therefore the perfect option for a spin-heavy, varied offence.
The construction of the Joola Rhyzer 43 differs only slightly from the more dynamic Rhyzer 48, as both rubbers are equipped with a combination of a fairly thick sponge and a thin top rubber, optimised for playing with plastic balls.
As with the Rhyzer 48, the top rubber is very grippy and has a noticeable catapult effect. This is created by the slightly wider spacing of the short, narrow pimples and the high-tension surface. As the necks of the pimples are also quite flexible, the ball contact time is extended, allowing you to give the balls more rotation.
The large-pored sponge used in the Rhyzer 43 is also pink in colour, but at 43° it is significantly softer than that of the Rhyzer 48.
As a result, the Rhyzer 43, especially in the Powermax version, still develops excellent dynamics, but is much easier to control than the Rhyzer 48. Thanks to good feedback on passive rackets, you can distribute them more safely and precisely. This makes it easier to act more effectively and in a more controlled manner, especially in the serve/return game
On the offensive, the Ryhzer 43 unfolds its full potential with rotation-rich topspins. Thanks to a slightly higher trajectory, you can dominate the game with efficient attacks, both at the table and from half distance.
All variable attacking players who already play with plastic balls or want to prepare themselves early for the balls they will have to play with in the coming season should therefore definitely try out the new Joola Rhyzer 43.
